MennoCross 2012 Results

It was a beautiful day. Maybe too beautiful for cyclocross. The summer like weather took its toll on a few riders, resulting in more DNFs and visits to the medic than usual. We hope everyone is okay.

Race Times and Prizing

Race times will be as follows:

11 am - Open Race
12 noon - C Race (CX 4 Men, CX 4 Women, Citizens)
1 pm - Kids Race (10 and under, plus 12 and under with no racing experience)
2 pm - B Race (CX 3 Men, CX 1/2/3 Women)
3:30 pm - A Race (CX 1/2 Men)


Prizing will be the same as last year, with $1100 divvied up as follows:

CX 1/2 Men, CX 1/2/3 Women, and CX 3 Men:

$300 (10 deep)

1st - $60
2nd - $50
3rd - $40
4th - $35
5th - $30
6th - $25
7th - $20
8th - $25
9th - $15
10th - $10


CX 4 Men, CX 4 Women:

$100 (5 deep)

1st - $30
2nd - $25
3rd - $20
4th - $15
5th - $10


Kids Race and Open Race will be prized with merchandise.

Online Registration

Online registration is now open. Go ahead and sign yourself up for the opportunity to experience one of the funnest, flowiest cyclocross courses around.

Costs are as follows:

A, B, and C Races are $20 ($30 on race day).
Citizen racers are $10 ($20 on race day).
Children in the Kids Race (10 and under) are free.
CMU students race for free.

Anyone is eligible to race. If you do not have a race license, register for the Open Race.

The Bunker Gets a Facelift

The Bunker has long been one of the defining features of the MennoCross course. This year it will be a little different, thanks to a set of stairs that have been added to the north face. You won't always be smiling as you run up the 9 steps with your bike once per lap. But we are confident it will figure prominently in the post-race story telling.
